Everybody loves a good ‘fight’ … especially when it involves food. On Sunday, June 2 from 4p-7p, three area chefs will come armed with spatulas, forks and knives and duke it out for culinary bragging rights as they participate in the Battle of the Chefs.
Sarah Bouissou of Sarah’s Wine Bar and Bernard’s Restaurant in Ridgefield, Raffaele Gallo from The Boathouse Restaurant in Westport, and Art Michaelsen from Bartolo in Ridgefield will go toque-to-toque as they uncover the four mystery ingredients from a surprise basket—a ‘la Chopped—and, along with additional pantry ingredients, will whip up an entrée befitting a winner.
Emcee for the evening will be Jane Stern of Roadfood fame, and expert judges include Stephen Fries, Faith Middleton and Denise Mickelson. Ticket holders can participate by tasting appetizers prepared by the chefs; however, if you want to be in on the tasting of the entrées, you’ll need to purchase a special Tasting Table ticket (see below) for that privilege.
The Battle benefits Founders Hall, a donor-support education and resource center for individuals age 60 or older, located in Ridgefield, CT.
