Biscotti. Those dry, crunchy, twice-baked Italian cookie delights that people either love or hate (mostly love) have become ensconced in our palate’s memory glands . . . if our palates were to possess such a thing. However, for some of us, munching on an inch-thick chunk of hard bread is not our idea of satisfying, even with the addition of almonds. Oh how we long for something thinner, lighter, more manageable . . . something that won’t break our beautiful cosmetically enhanced teeth . . .
Welcome to my world, Thinscotti.
Thinscotti Biscotti Wafers are thin slices of all natural, preservative-free goodness. Borne out of an old family recipe, Thinscotti Biscotti are lightly sweetened and baked locally in Westport, CT, not mass produced by a faceless conglomerate many miles away. Partners Milla and Carissa teamed up to give new life to Milla’s family Russian Biscotti recipe. Together, the pair embarked on a mission to provide a healthier and tastier alternative to a regular biscotti cookie.
At 7 calories per thin wafer, team up a few slivers with your favorite coffee or tea, crumble over ice cream or just eat them straight from the package.
In my humble opinion, after eating a handful of Thinscotti in rapid-fire succession, there should be a warning splashed across the front of each 1.8 ounce package of Thinscotti:
Thinscotti Biscotti Wafers come in two flavors, Toasted Almond and Dark Chocolate Almond (with more to come). Both flavors also come in an equally tasty gluten-free variety.
